The Pheasant shepherd’s hut was designed and handcrafted by us, and sits next to The Lapwing in the lower part of the campsite. The positioning a peaceful space with views of the countryside, perfect for a romantic Peak District getaway for two.
Inside, the hut is warm, simple and thoughtfully laid out with an open-plan living space. The double bed is very comfortable, with fresh linen and towels, and there is a comfortable two-seater sofa to help you unwind after a day exploring the Peak District. Other features include a compact kitchen area with a fridge (with freezer compartment), a kettle, a single-ring induction hob, and all the essentials for basic self catering.
Additional comforts include hanging space for clothes, under-bed storage, a wall-mounted mirror and a radiator for cooler Peak District evenings – everything you need for a glamping weekend or a well earned short break.

Handcrafted shepherds hut
Just a short 30-metre walk away are our newly renovated shared facilities, including hot showers and toilets. Well maintained and shared with a maximum of eight small pitches, keeping things quiet and uncrowded.
Outside, there’s plenty of space to sit back, take in the far-reaching Peak District views, and enjoy a relaxed evening with a glass of wine or a barbecue. The neighbouring hut is positioned at a comfortable distance, ensuring privacy throughout your stay.
