Derbyshire Hills Campsite is a peaceful base to enjoy the natural beauty of the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales. Please note that we are an adult only campsite and due to the limited number of pitches, we do not take group bookings and can not accommodate caravans.

Tucked away in a peaceful corner of the Derbyshire countryside, Derbyshire Hills campsite offers a quiet, adults only escape with far-reaching views across rolling Peak District hills and surrounding woodland. The perfect base for exploring one of England’s most beloved national parks.

Located in the small village of Grindlow, in the heart of the Peak District you’re perfectly placed to discover some of Derbyshire’s most picturesque destinations. Foolow, Eyam, Monsal Head, Bakewell and Chatsworth are all within easy reach – each offering their own unique slice of Peak District character and history.

Family-run campsite in the Peak District

There are plenty of welcoming local pubs and restaurants nearby, serving great food at reasonable prices, with options to suit a range of dietary requirements.

With stunning walking routes and cycling trails beginning directly from the campsite gate, Derbyshire Hills is an ideal base for outdoor exploration in the Peak District. We welcome motorhomes, campervans and tents, although we’re unable to accommodate large family tents or caravans.

As a small, family-run campsite in the Peak District, we’re known for our calm, quiet and unhurried atmosphere—best suited to couples, solo travellers, walkers and those looking to switch off, slow down and reconnect with nature. If you’re searching for a peaceful countryside retreat away from the crowds, you’ll feel right at home here. If you’re after late nights and a lively atmosphere, this probably isn’t the site for you.
