Set within the peaceful grounds of our small, remote campsite in the Peak District, this beautifully restored 1930s railway carriage offers a unique and characterful stay for two.
Positioned within its own private garden and enclosed by traditional drystone walls, the carriage enjoys far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside, creating a quiet and secluded retreat.
Inside, the space has been carefully designed to balance its heritage with a clean, contemporary finish. At its heart is a wood-burning stove, bringing warmth and atmosphere on cooler evenings—perfect after a day exploring the hills.
Surprisingly spacious, the carriage features a comfortable double bed, a cosy seating area, and a well-equipped kitchen for simple cooking. There’s also a private en-suite shower room, making it a fully self-contained and comfortable space year-round.
