In the heart of the Derbyshire Hills ancient drovers trails weave their way through the hills and valleys crossing
the packhorse tracks passing close to the hamlet of Grindlow in the Peak District National Park.
The landscape is moderately hilly with The Hope Valley cutting a swathe through the Derbyshire hills.
Derbyshire Hills Campsite is a peaceful base to enjoy the natural beauty of the Derbyshire Hills and Dales
or for the more energetic there are many spectacular walks ranging from the easy riverside stroll
through to the more challenging hill walks.
The campsite is fairly level and set in a quiet location, deep in the Derbyshire countryside surrounded by
beautiful views over the hay meadows to the distant woods and hills.
Grindlows close neighbour Eyam is the site of The 1665 Bubonic Plague... also known as The Black Death.
There are many local places to eat which are welcoming and offer meals at realistic prices and cater for all ages.
Camping at Derbyshire Hills Campsite is an ideal starting point for walking, mountain biking, hiking, over-nights and stop overs. We welcome tourers, tents and back-packers.Try us for sun and fun but remember this is a quiet camp ground.
